📈 In the last week, the market got its groove back. It staged a remarkable comeback powered by tech and energy giants. This upswing was sparked by the possibility of a dovish Fed, surprising earnings beats, new inflation data, and enticing stock valuations.

The market's resurgence can be attributed to several factors. The prospect of the Fed easing its hawkish stance on interest rates eased investors' worries about a potential recession. Additionally, corporate earnings have been exceeding expectations, bolstering confidence in companies' ability to navigate the current economic climate.

Are you paying market rate fees? Portfolio exceeding the benchmarks? Are they providing you full service which you are paying for?

With Rainbook, you can have clear insight into how well your advisor stacks up in six critical areas.

🇮🇱🇵🇸 Israel Continues to Battle into Gaza | Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the idea of the Palestinian Authority governing Gaza after the war, citing their failure to control terrorism. He proposes an increased Israeli military presence instead and suggests a different, unspecified authority to govern Gaza. This stance conflicts with international views, particularly the U.S., which supports Palestinian-led governance. Netanyahu also hinted at a potential hostage deal with Hamas but has resisted calls for a long-term ceasefire in the region. 9 Americans are still missing after the Hamas attack.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Russia Loses 32 Artillery Systems, 32 APVs and 1,100 Soldiers in a Day | The Ukrainian military reported that Russia lost approximately 1,100 soldiers and significant military equipment, including tanks and artillery, in a single day of fighting. This brings Russia's total estimated losses to 311,750 soldiers since the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. However, these figures from Ukraine have not been independently verified, and other sources, like the British Ministry of Defence, report lower Russian casualty numbers. Russia has been tight-lipped about its own casualty figures, which are often criticized for inaccuracy. Meanwhile, Ukraine has been facing Russian military efforts, including a recent large-scale missile and drone strike on Kyiv and ongoing positional warfare, indicating a stalemate in the conflict.

🇺🇸🇮🇶 US carries out air strikes in Syria against Iran-linked facilities | The United States conducted two air strikes in Syria targeting facilities linked to Iran and its allied groups. These strikes, ordered by President Joe Biden and announced by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, were a response to several attacks against American forces in Syria and Iraq. The targeted areas were a training facility near Albu Kamal and a safe house near Mayadeen. This action marks the third U.S. strike since October 26, aimed at countering drone and rocket attacks on U.S. troops by Iran-backed forces. The U.S. currently has 900 troops in Syria and 2,500 in Iraq, mainly to assist local forces against the Islamic State. The growing Israel-Hamas conflict has raised concerns about the safety of U.S. forces in the region, leading to increased military patrols and security measures.

Grass Roots Profits: A Hustle That Keeps on Giving

Do you have a green thumb and a passion for keeping yards looking their best? If so, then a lawn care side hustle could be the perfect way to generate extra income while doing something you love.

In the vast world of side hustles, lawn care is more than just a chore – it’s a thriving industry with endless opportunities to grow. It’s relatively simple to get started, doesn’t require any fancy equipment or specialized training, and offers you the flexibility to set your own hours and work from home or on the go.

Why You May Consider a Lawn Care Side Hustle

A Multi-Billion Dollar Industry: Lawn care isn’t just a hobby; it’s a multi-billion dollar industry with a steady demand for services. People are increasingly willing to outsource their lawn care needs to professionals rather than handling the task themselves, creating a great opportunity for those with a knack for hard work and a love for the outdoors.

Low Startup Costs: Unlike many side hustles, lawn care doesn’t require a significant investment to get started. A reliable lawnmower, a trimmer, and a willingness to get your hands dirty are all you need to get your business off the ground.

Flexible Schedule: Unlike a traditional 9-to-5 job, lawn care offers the flexibility to set your own hours. You can work weekends, evenings, or even early mornings, allowing you to balance your side hustle with your other commitments.

Be Your Own Boss: Unlike working for someone else, lawn care gives you the freedom to be your own boss. You can choose the projects you want to work on, set your own rates, and build your business your way.

Getting Started

Research the market. Look up the competition in your area and see what services they offer. This will help you determine what services you want to offer and how you can differentiate your business.

Get the necessary equipment. You will need a lawnmower, a trimmer, and a blower. You may also want to invest in a more advanced mower or a tractor, as your business grows.

Create a business plan. This will help you outline your goals, strategies, and target market. It will also help you budget your expenses and determine your pricing strategy.

Get the necessary licenses and permits. Check with your local government to see if you need any licenses or permits to operate a lawn care business.

Market your business. You can do this by creating a website, distributing flyers in your neighborhood, and leveraging social media to reach potential customers.

Provide excellent customer service. This is essential for building a loyal customer base. Always show up on time, do a good job, and be responsive to customer inquiries.

A Few Tips for Success

Focus on Quality and Reliability: Show up on time, get the job done quickly and efficiently, and always maintain a professional demeanor.

Market Your Business Effectively: Create a website, distribute flyers in your neighborhood, and leverage social media to reach potential customers.

Offer Competitive Rates: Research typical rates in your area to ensure you’re attracting clients without losing money.

Expand Your Services: As your business grows, consider offering additional services like landscaping, tree care, and snow removal to increase your income stream.
