How to build your personal brand
If there’s a trifecta for what makes a business, it’s this:
> The service/product (It)
> The delivery of it (you/others)
>The attention (potential customers)
And in this week’s newsletter, we’ll be focusing on the latter. Because near anyone can build a digital product and have Thrivecart deliver it. But getting the attention that turns your product into Stripe notifs pinging?
That’s a game in itself. And one of its sports is building a personal brand that becomes a sales-generating engine that no one but you owns.
And here’s how to get started…
STEP 1: find something you can talk about for days (that has market demand )
Once you’re sharing things that both you and broader others are interested in: that’s when you build authority and a dedicated audience.
Focus on a speciality you’re passionate about.
Make sure it’s something with a market demand.
Then double down by learning more about it/practicing what you learn.
STEP 2: share your insights with the world, generously and consistently
People will follow you when you’re sharing valuable content that (1) gives them practical, actionable advice (2) solves a challenge they’re facing.
Getting those insights all hinges on Step 1.
But a common problem with people who are building the insights are:
1. They’re don’t share the best stuff
2. They don’t show up consistently
Share your gold, your wins, your losses, all regularly—and your personal brand will grow.
STEP 3: engage with your community
Let’s say you’re acing Steps 1 and 2 and your personal brand is stacking up followers.
But if you’re posting and ghosting: those followers won’t stay around.
— Ask questions to start conversations
— Encourage others to share their thoughts
You’re building both trust and meaningful connections that make people want to buy from you. And that’s when your personal brand is hitting its target on bullseyes.
